Rebecca’s practice centres on Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution. Rebecca has experience in conducting and defending commercial litigation at all levels of representation, including appellate level, as well as advising on urgent interlocutory relief and alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediation, arbitration and expert determination. Rebecca regularly appears in the Magistrates Court, District Court, Supreme Court, and Federal Court.

Rebecca also assists in the preparation of applications for Liquor Licences, as well as acting for clients in appeals of unsuccessful Liquor Licensing applications to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. 

 Rebecca’s recent experience includes:

  • Advising and acting for clients in a number of appeals to the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal from decisions of the Liquor Commission.
  • Junior counsel in an appeal to the Supreme Court from a decision of the Liquor Commission.
  • Advising and acting on behalf of creditors in relation to bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Advising and representing Plaintiffs in relation to constructive trust and proprietary claims, resulting in a successfully mediated outcomes.
  • Advising and acting for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various contractual disputes in District and Supreme Courts, in most cases resulting in a mediated outcome.
  • Advising and acting in disputes relating to the sale and purchase of businesses, breach of franchise agreements and misrepresentation.
  • Advising clients in relation to various Building/Construction Disputes and Construction Contracts Act matters.
  • Advising and acting on behalf of both Plaintiffs and Defendants in relation to disputed estates and claims under the Family Provision Act 1972.
  • Instructing solicitor in an 8 day Supreme Court trial on the issue of deceptive and misleading conduct in relation to the sale of a business.
  • Rebecca also regularly advises and represents both Plaintiffs and Defendants at all levels of the Western Australian and Federal Courts and Tribunals - in most cases resulting in a negotiated resolution.
