Legal Expertise/Specialisation

Rebecca's practice centres on commercial litigation and family law. Rebecca regularly appears in the Family Court and all other Western Australian courts at all levels, and the State Administrative Tribunal, at all levels. Rebecca was also involved in drafting one of the first surrogacy agreements that was accepted by the Western Australian Reproductive Council.

Rebecca has experience in providing legal advice and in drafting constitutions for not-for-profit organisations. She is a board member and the secretary of Inclusion WA, an organisation that facilitates people with disabilities participating in recreational activities.

Rebecca's recent experience includes:

  • Advising and acting for both Plaintiffs and Defendants in various contractual disputes in District and Supreme and Federal Courts, in most cases resulting in a mediated outcome
  • Advising and acting for both Applicants and Respondents in the Family Court in respect of children and financial matters, in most cases resulting in mutually agreed outcomes
  • Providing advice and preparation of surrogacy agreements
  • Negotiation and preparation of binding financial agreements
  • Providing advice and preparation of wills
  • Advising and providing representation for Applicants and Respondents in relation to violence restraining orders and misconduct restraining orders.
  • Advising and representing applicants in the State Administrative Tribunal
